Privacy policy
Who we are
North Shore Landscape Supply Centre is located at 561 Seymour Blvd, North Vancouver, BC V7J 2J5. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and at our yard, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We follow British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What we collect
When you request a contractor account, ask for a quote, place an order or book a delivery, we collect your name, business name, phone number, email address and delivery address, along with the details of what you ordered. Account applications may also include billing and credit reference details. We do not collect payment card numbers through this website.
Why we collect it
We use your information to answer your enquiry, prepare quotes, set up and manage your account, deliver your order, send invoices and receipts, and contact you about your order or account. We only send marketing emails if you have asked for them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host, our payment and accounting systems and our delivery drivers, and only as far as they need it to do that work. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Where it is stored
This website is hosted by Netlify, and some of our systems store data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. Information stored there is subject to the laws of that country.
Cookies
This website uses cookies to work properly and to show us how many people visit and which pages they view. We use Google Analytics for this. It tells us how the site is used, such as which pages are viewed and whether the phone number is tapped, but it does not give us your name or contact details. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, and for as long as tax and business records law requires. After that we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect it
Access to customer information is limited to staff who need it for their work, and our systems are protected by passwords. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to guard against loss, theft and unauthorised access.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our using it. To do so, contact our privacy officer. We will respond within 30 business days.
